I hope you enjoy these travelogues from Spain (in which I'm including the Balearic Islands).
Spain is a country of some 505 square kilometres. There are 19 autonomous communities including Balearic Islands and Canary Islands, and three small Spanish possessions off the coast of Morocco - Islas Chafarinas, Penon de Alhucemas, and Penon de Velez de la Gomera, with a population of something over 40 million, 94% of which are of the Roman Catholic faith.
Spain still has a monarchy in the person of King Juan Carlos I (since 22nd November, 1975), prior to which, the royal family were exiled by the fascist General Franco. As I write the Government is somewhat left wing, presided over by Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero (since 17th April, 2004).
The climate is temperate with hot dry summers and cooler sunny winters with some rain. The weather varies considerably between the inland and coastal areas.
There is much to be enjoyed, scenically and culturally, as you will see from these articles.
